Our Admission Policy

Admission to the Culture and Language Academy of Success begins each Spring with CLAS conducting an open enrollment period for the upcoming school year. Parents can attend any one of a series of CLAS open house school tours that take place on select mornings plus an evening open house where they receive information about the school’s vision, mission, curriculum, policies, and more. If parents are interested in applying for enrollment for their child(ren), they fill out an application, upon receipt of which by the deadline enters their child in the pool of applicants for the number of available seats in the applicable grade level. In the event that there are more applicants than available spaces for a particular grade level, a lottery will be conducted to determine who is admitted. Priority is granted to students with siblings already enrolled at CLAS.

Please note that once the open enrollment period closes, no further students are admitted for the school year. Applicants who were not admitted, must reapply during the open enrollment period for the next school year if they desire to do so. We feel that this is the fairest process available for ensuring all applicants an equal opportunity for admittance when there is a limited number of spaces available.

The open house tours begin on Thursday, February 16 and take place every other Thursday morning through the end of April at both locations. All open houses will take place from 9:00 AM -10:00 AM. The open house tour dates are:

• March 1
• March 15
• March 29
• April 12
• April 26

NOTE: The evening open house has ben rescheduled to April 12  from 6:00 – 7:30 PM .  The room where the event will take place has changed. Instead of taking place in the Orville Wright Middle School Auditorium, the meeting will be held in room 21 in our main building that is accessible from our entrance gate on Emerson Ave just south of 80th Street.
